DisneyTime - Vacation Countdown Program

This is the program I use to countdown to my next Walt Disney World vacation. Not only does this keep track of when you will leave for the trip (right down to the seconds!), it also features WDW trivia and a great place to keep notes about your upcoming trip. I use the notes to organize all the numbers you have to keep track of. From airline reservations and car rental information to all our PS places, dates, times and confirmation numbers. Not to mention the stuff I copy off the Internet like Early Entry Park days, Disney Club discount restaurants and shops, information about the resorts, special events while we are there, and the list goes on. Let me just say, this is the handiest little program I have ever used. And, it's FREE!! Thanks, Chris!!!

Disney Vacation Planner (DVP) Program

Stu Barton of theDIBB has created a complete Walt Disney World daily planner program which you can download from his site (use link above). You can plan each day you are at the WDW resort along with text areas to put in general travel information and notes. There's even a place to keep your priority seating information including your confirmation numbers. Bless his heart! This is a great way to organize your stay before, during and after your trip (to write up those all important trip reports your Internet buddies will be bugging you for!). The latest version 2.2 has been updated with the new 90 day PS policy.

Disney Countdown Tickers

Countdown your special trip or event in Disney style with the free MouseHouseMagic countdown tickers. Registration as a member of the forum is required to create your own magical ticker for use on your blog, webpage, forum or email signature file. Choose from special character, resort and holiday themed graphics that sprinkle a little pixie dust to your wait. Our countdown tickers won't make the date arrive any quicker but they can make the anticipation a little more magical. Thanks, DisneyAnne!

The Disney Trip Countdown Widget

The Disney Trip Countdown widget allows you to keep a running count down to your next Disney vacation in days, hours, minutes, and seconds on your dashboard. It includes icons for Walt Disney World, the Disneyland Resort, Disneyland Resort Paris, the Tokyo Disneyland Resort, and Hong Kong Disneyland, as well as the Disney Cruise Line. You can have as many concurrent countdowns running at once as you like. The layout of the widget is modeled after the road signs at Walt Disney World. This widget is for Apple computers running OS X ver. 10.4 (Tiger) or above. Thanks to Sam at Thereis Software!

Room Only Resort On-Line Calculator

Think you can afford the Grand Flordian? Or just want to budget for your next WDW vacation. This calculator will give you an estimate on how much a stay at any of WDW great resorts costs. A couple of warnings here. This is an estimate and does not take into account any specials WDW may be running and/or discounts. It does not give you an option for the Length of Stay (LOS) passes either. It does double duty as you can read detailed descriptions, reviews and view photos of rooms, food courts, exteriors and the great Disney theming found at WDW resorts. However, it is a great tool, brought to us by Our Laughing Place Travel, to start your WDW vacation planning and there is no obligation to use it. Thanks, Ahnalira!

Ride Height Requirements On-Line Calculator

Ever wonder if your child is old enough or tall enough to go on Space Mountain or Big Thunder Mountain? This handy little calculator will give you a list of all WDW rides your child can ride just by entering in his or her's age and height. Another handy little tool from the DIS. Thanks, Pete!

FAX Room Request Builder

Fill in all the asked for information, click on the create button and viola! You have a printable FAX request for your Walt Disney World Resort. Why type it up from scratch? Plus, this FAX request form was designed specifically for WDW Resorts with all the needed information a Room Controller needs to fullfill your room requests. Thank you Jennifer and Dave!

Luggage Log and Tag Maker

Not only does this allow you to create a fast desciption of each bag you are taking to Walt Disney World and lets you enter in an inventory of each bag (great for insurance purposes!) but it prints out a neat Luggage Tag for each of your bags complete with contact information both for home and your resort. A color printer would be great but not required. Another FREE tool from those wonderful people who bring you the PassPorter travel guides, Jennifer and Dave!

Character Location Matrix Excel file

Here's a fabulous tool, from The Rusty Scupper, it has almost every character you can find (around 122 of them) at WDW and where they are usually located. Well there is never any guarantees, this information can give you an idea where you can find your Disney favorites. This is version 21.0 (July, 2006). Click on the link to download it to your computer.

Maid Tip Envelopes

Dizkneenurse on the DIS has created a wonderful way to say "Thank You" to those wonderful Cast Members who clean up our on-site rooms when we visit Walt Disney World. These Tip Envelopes print out on your color printer right on to a #9 sized envelope. The site has all the instructions you need to produce these wonderful designs. Thank you, Heidi!! I'm sure this will brighten the day of many a CM!

Cast Member Appreciation Cards

Tagrel.com gives us a way to thank any Cast Member we encounter at Walt Disney World in a very unique and colorful way. Cast Member Appreciation Cards come in four sets: Original, Princess, Toy Story and Christmas. You first need to download the Walt Disney font which is available on all the card pages. It is very easy to download the cards themselves using any browser. You will need Microsoft Word to edit and print the cards. Thanks, Dave!

eGuides To Go

If you've got a handheld organizer, such as a Palm, you can now download Disney info into it and take it to the parks. Andy Dannelly has created a nifty guide to Walt Disney World parks, resorts, and eateries. Thanks to Andy, you can even download Deb Wills' menus and Steve Soares' entertainment schedules to your Palm.

WDW Vacation & Meal Planner

The Rusty Scupper has put together his popular Character Location Spreadsheet and Chopper's wonderful restaurant/meal planner for the Disney resorts, parks, & sites. Set your dates, daily budget, select the meal source etc. Updated with the new Disney Dining Plan and Magic Your Way Packages. You need Microsoft Excel to run it. This is version 36.0 (March, 2008). Click on the link to download it today!

Caskbill's DVC Programs

I've been told the programs found on Caskbill's DVC Program Download page are the ones to get if you need to Plan, Chart or Track your DVC points. Comes highly recommended by members of the DVC gang on the DISboards. Thanks to RLM for this link!

WDW Transportation Wizard

How can I get there from my resort? How long does it take? How do I get to Pioneer Hall for my Hoop-Dee-Doo seating? Well, my friends, the wonderful folks at OurLaughingPlace.com has come to your rescue! Why it can't be accurate to the minute, it does give you time estimates and, even better, it tells you how to get from one place to another at the Walt Disney World resort. Thanks, again, Ahnalira!

On-Line Dining Database

Search by Location, Cuisine, Price Range or Meal Type (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner or Character) or any combination. You can even type in a specific location or restaurant name. For example, just select Character for your meal type and hit the Submit button and, just like magic, you get a listing of all the Character meals at WDW. From those wonderful folks at the DIS!

Airport Directions to WDW Resorts

Deb's Unofficial Walt Disney World Information Guide (WDWIG for short), now known as AllEarsNet, has developed a nifty on-line database for getting directions from either of Orlando's airports to all the WDW resorts. The directions include the number of tolls and their amounts, if any, for your last leg of your journey to Walt Disney World. Thanks, Deb!

MouseTrack1.3 Desktop Countdown Clock

Can't wait until your next trip to one of Disney parks? This FREE countdown clock is what you need. With a Windows computer running Windows 95 or above you can display a small countdown clock on your desktop that counts down the time left until your vacation in real time down to the very second. Thanks to John from pockeyDisney.com for this and the next two WDW planning tools.

Wireless pocketDisney

Do you have a wireless phone with access to the wireless web? Then this product is for you! Now you can receive Disney World information on the go on your phone. Park hours, events, schedules, dining options, resort options and pricing, detailed attraction descriptions, ticketing information, a countdown clock and much more are available in this FREE product.

MouseMaps (WDW Maps to Your PDA)

Are you tired of carrying around all of those park maps while in Disney World? With a PDA running WindowsCE and pocketIE installed OR a Palm PDA with iSilo installed you can now take those maps with you on your next trip even without a connection to the Internet. This FREE application includes maps similar to the ones offered at Disney World but is displayed in a more user-friendly manner with more detailed information on attractions, dining, services and more!

Dining Discounts Pocket Guides

With all the electronic gadges around, Palm Pilot, iPaq, Blackberry, etc., sometimes there is still nothing better then a regular paper hand held list. For everone who likes to have the convenience of a paper list, we created the following pocket guides that can be printed out on a regular 8-1/2" X 11" paper and folded into a small booklet. The files are in Adobe (pdf) format. From the Mouse For Less website. Thanks, Binnie!
